Complutum
The Complutum archaeological site is a set of archeological remains corresponding to Complutum, the ancient Roman city that today sits Alcalá de Henares, in the community of Madrid. Is located on the current street of el Juncal, in the South western end of the present city,1 more than one kilometre from the medieval nucleus (square and Church of the Holy child); While both the oppidum prerromano and the andalusi old Alcalá occupied high points of easy defence in the hills on the other side of the Henares River.
Since 1988 it is declared of cultural interest by the General Directorate of heritage Cultural of the Ministry of culture of autonomous of Madrid.
On August 6, 2008 an important part (circuit outlined in the Forum) has been opened to the public as integrated in the network of visitable sites in the community of Madrid open air museum.
